Christmas in November
October 23, 2008

Tell me if this has ever happened to you:

It’s December. You’re at school working your little mind to the bone, er, skull. You’ve studied 4 weeks straight, you can’t imagine writing another paper, and you literally cry whenever you hear the word ‘final.’ After all your hard work you come home and it hits you! It’s Christmas!

You run back out of the house, get all the shopping done, and come home heaving and covered in sweat. Usually no sooner than Christmas Eve. Christmas comes, it’s fun, and back to school.

We’ll be holding a number of parties and events in November that will help you have fun with the holiday season.

Keep your eyes here for information!

Best Regard,

Greg

What is S-SUBS?
October 9, 2008

To be really honest – the name is far more confusing than it should be. S-SUBS stands for “Sonoma State Bible Study.” It was started by Greg Horton and Nicolai Pedersen with the prompting of Hessel Church.

The leadership’s pursuit of this ministry has two main aspects or focuses:

1.) To find Christians at SSU and give them support and love in order to strengthen and empower them for ministry, evangelism. Simply – Ephesians 4: 11-16.

2.) To find God’s people at SSU. We believe the Lord has set apart a number of students to be his and we are determined to meet them and fight for them so that the Lord can make them His. In other words – we are seeking to evangelize but we have no pretense that we will be doing the saving. We simply wish to witness and become a part of the work the Lord will accomplish.

These focuses prompt S-SUBS to three primary actions. First a bible study to meet, teach and encourage Sonoma State’s believing students. And second, to take the faith encouraged by the word to go out onto campus and meet and witness to students who do not yet have faith. Lastly, to embed those with faith in the local church body so that the believer is a part of Christ’s larger body.

The best way to contact us with any questions / concerns /etc is via email: hesseloncampus@gmail.com

We currently meet at Charlie Brown Cafe. Tucked inside Charles M Schulz Library.

We meet every Wednesday Evening, 7:00pm, at Charlie Brown Cafe on SSU’s Campus.

We hope to see you there!

Best Regards,

Greg
